Schedule a video and run a premiere

menu_book Lesson 3 of 5 schedule 5 min read

You do not have to be online when a video goes public. Vidnexa gives you two ways to publish in the future.

Scheduled publishing

In the upload flow or the editor, choose a future date and time instead of publishing immediately. The video sits in your Content list as a draft/scheduled item, and Vidnexa publishes it automatically when the time arrives. Scheduled community posts work the same way.

Premieres

A premiere turns a scheduled upload into an event. When you set a video as a premiere:

  • A waiting page appears in place of the video, showing the title, the scheduled date and time, and a live countdown.
  • Viewers can click Set reminder to be notified when it starts.
  • When the time arrives, the video flips to a normal watch page automatically.

Make the most of a premiere

  • Announce it with a community post a day or two ahead.
  • Pick a time your audience is actually awake and free.
  • Be in the comments when it lands — early comments help new viewers settle in.
Premieres suit videos you have built anticipation for — a series episode, a big project, an announcement. Everyday uploads are fine as regular publishes.
