Edit video details in Studio
Everything about a published video can be improved later. Open Studio → Content, pick a video, and you are in the editor.
What you can change
- Title, description, tags, category — changing these updates search and recommendations going forward.
- Thumbnail — replace it any time. If a video underperforms, a better thumbnail is the single most effective fix (see the thumbnails lesson).
- Captions — upload a subtitle file; the captions lesson explains the format and the player menu.
- End screens and cards — point viewers to your next video, a playlist, or your subscribe button at the end of the video.
- Visibility and scheduling — make a video private, or publish a draft at a chosen time.
Audience & restrictions
The editor also carries per-video controls every creator should know:
- Age restriction — restrict a video to signed-in viewers who have confirmed they are 18 or older.
- Country blocking — block playback in specific countries you choose.
- Downloads — decide whether viewers may download this video for offline viewing. Only videos you uploaded yourself can offer this.
- Rights confirmation — confirm you have the rights to publish what you uploaded. Only publish content you own or are licensed to use.
Changes save to the same live video — viewers see updates without you re-uploading anything.
