Organize videos with playlists

Playlists turn single views into sessions. A viewer who finishes one video and is immediately offered the next one in a series watches far longer than one who has to hunt for it.

Create a playlist

1. Open the Playlists area or use the Save menu on any of your videos.
2. Create a playlist with a clear, searchable name — “Beginner Guitar Lessons” beats “My Videos 2”.
3. Add videos in the order you want them watched. Order matters: playlists play through in sequence.
4. Set its visibility — public playlists appear on your channel and in search.

Good uses

• Series — episodes in order, so nobody starts at part 4.
• Topics — group by theme so new viewers can binge a subject.
• Start-here collections — your best introductory videos for first-time visitors.

Link playlists from your video descriptions and end screens, and your back catalogue starts working for you while you sleep.
