Subscribers, the bell, and notifications

A view is a moment; a subscriber is a relationship. Here is how following actually works on Vidnexa, so you can talk about it accurately with your audience.

Subscribe and the bell

• Subscribe adds your channel to the viewer's Subscriptions feed and counts toward your subscriber total.
• The bell is a separate choice: subscribers toggle notifications for your channel on or off. Someone can be subscribed and silent, or subscribed and notified — both are normal.
• Your subscriber count counts distinct subscribers, so it reflects real people following you.

Notifications viewers receive

• In-app notifications appear in the viewer's notification centre and header bell.
• Viewers can also opt in to browser push notifications in their notification settings — delivery depends on their browser granting permission, which is entirely their choice.

Asking well

One honest reminder per video (“subscribe if this helped”) outperforms begging. Then earn the bell: publish on a rhythm worth being notified about.
