Use a premiere as a launch event
A premiere gives a pre-recorded video the energy of a live launch: a waiting page, a countdown, reminders, and everyone arriving at the same moment. The mechanics are covered in Schedule a video and run a premiere — this lesson is about running one well.
A simple launch plan
- Pick the moment. A time your subscribers are free — evenings and weekends usually beat work hours. Consistency helps: same day and time builds a habit.
- Schedule 2–3 days ahead. Enough runway for the waiting page to collect reminder sign-ups.
- Announce twice. A community post when you schedule it, and a short Vidlet or post on the day.
- Show up. Be in the comments when the countdown ends. Welcome people, answer early questions, and pin a comment with links to related videos.
- Follow through. After it airs, the video is a normal watch page — reply to the new comments over the next day, and note what the analytics say about the launch.
A premiere will not rescue a video nobody wants — but for the right video, it turns a quiet upload into an occasion your subscribers remember.
