Look, EVERY new phone these days is not to be upgraded from previous year model, but after like 5-6 years after your previous purchase, to see the difference. Or if you want to change from apple to android or vice-versa, so you just grab latest phone to have latest features and be safe for another 5-6 years maybe even more. <br><br>Only reviewers and a**holes that think it is status symbol buy new phones every year. <br><br>I still keep my i14pro, videos good, performance good, battery good. Maybe iPhone 20 will be real game changer... but I doubt it. All it needs to be is just: be the most recent with most recent features.

Battery on a class of it's own? Compared only to Samsung's 8 month old S26U and Google's latest. You know there are more brands out there, don't you? Sadly LTT now covers mostly tech that pays for advertisements... Hell, Linus may not even say it, but he still uses OnePlus' R2, a 2 year old watch because there isn't any substantially better smartwatch. <br><br>This strategy of straight up ignoring smaller or foreign brands is definitely working, as we can see from OnePlus' withdrawal, and we, customers, pay for it, with phones reaching the 2k mark

Good Saturday LTT community. If I may ask a genuine question, any thoughts would be appreciated. I have a neurological disorder where brain impulses are effectively scrambled so the newest technology is problematic, while also being impressive. Are there any truly useful “dumb “ phones. Or anything like a paper white, but again useful. Main use would be calls/text and GPS. I don’t care about anything else. Thanks for the advice

I upgraded from the 16 pro to the 18 pro. Free when switching carriers... I cannot tell the difference as far as the software is concerned. It doesn't run any faster or slower than my 16 pro. The battery life is just about the same. The cameras are better, on paper but I honestly can't tell.

The battery will decrease with updates and app use. After all, they need you to keep upgrading. I would be impressed when the phone is maxed out or under stressing apps and usage for a longer period of time.

icl dbrand lowkey disappointing, i got the grip case for my s25 ultra and a vinyl, and the vinyl wasnt even pre-applied. compared to other companies the price was expensive, but the quality of the case was pretty good.
Shame I trust Apple so little that I assumed the increase in battery life came at the EXPENSE of compute performance rather than as an added benefit of a brand new architecture that's both more powerful and more efficient. But Apple's habit of marketing their products as if they're basically magic has made me reflexively suspicious of any positive thing they say. Ya reap what ya sow.

As a photographer, I can say my Xr takes better photos than the 17 pro. The new camera BS is garbage. I actually take far less pics with my mobile now because it blows. More exercise carrying a DSLR too.
