oh, I know this I was born in America, but I went to Kenya for three years and for school we got that every time, but they got like a bread wrap to put it in and they put potatoes in it with the egg and the tomato
it gives you nothing.. Nairobi is expensive not a some poor corner where you can flex with one dollar.. trust me I am real muzungu with my kenyan wife 🤔
THIS VIDEO COMES ACROSS AS OFFENSIVE AS ITS GENERALLY NOT TRUE AS THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT THE PRICE OF THESE FOODS IN EVERY STREET IN KENYA....ALL IT DOES IS UNDERMINE THE FOOD AND THE COUNTRY.
I found out something
⭐"Mandazi" is called Buns appa/Buns appam in South🇮🇳 (Especially in Kasaragod-Mangaluru side)
It is a ₹10 Rupees snack

⭐"Kachumbari" - In my language "Kachumbari" aka Kachambar means Curd Salad/Curd Raita

⭐Also Tea☕....

Now i know there is so similarity between Kenya🇰🇪 and India🇮🇳

❤🇮🇳🤝🇰🇪❤
For the other non African people out there, TH is pronounced as a T. We dont have that soft whistle sound made by the TH in English. (eg. Teeth, South, thing) So that Muthura Market is pronounced as Moo-2-rah

Waiting for my fellow Africans to correct me based on their own country. Im South African BTW
I went to Kenya, Nairobi, and everyone who went there warned me not to eat street food. I never listened. 😂 I ate all day, and by the end of the day, my stomach was pooping water for the next 10 days, which was painful.
😂 John , remember when I asked you : You know that old billionaire named **** ?
And You looked at me seriously for 2 seconds then said : NEKKA , WHO ??!!! ❤😂
I love You John.. And I wish you well homie 👍🏼 God bless you 💫👍🏼🕊️🙏
Ugali mahori is 90/= Streets of Nairobi does not mesan in the city but in the outer environs. We should not accentuate or abbreviate our standards just to make others fear Nairobi.
I love my country..... And bro can u imagine even with that we Kenyans still complain... Life is to hard... A few years ago... All that costed below 1dollar... Mandazi- 5each, chai 10, transport maybe still 20 the ugali still the same but bigger quantity u eat that you go to sleep... And egg was 15 bob... So do the math.... Life is expensive now, that's why we want to go to America and Europe
After looking through some of the videos produced by Westerners, Kenya needs to create a social media Visa. If you are walking with a selfie stick, filming everyone without their permission, and mispronouncing the foods, $500. The $95 is not enough.
I’m Kenyan (not some ancient relatives my mom is 100 percent African) and the ugali always just hit different with meat collard greens and sometimes scrambled egg
2 or 3 years ago your conversion date will have been accurate at 130. At the time I'm watching this video in 2025, the conversion rate is ksh.92 to $ 1. And food prices have gone up too, inflation and all. With ksh.92 I would probably get the breakfast and lunch, no bus fare, no boiled egg snack. I like how you learned the native swahili language and were confident to pronounce them all. You're doing great with your swahili, keep it up
This isn’t a lie but also not true about all Kenyan streets— not even the average ones. There are streets where you can spend more than 15$ for lunch, so yes, this is true about some of the lowest (least pricey) streets.
Food is way way cheaper than in other parts of the world. Kenya is a beautiful and awesome place. Nairobi is amazing. Unfortunately Kenyans want to migrate to cold and ugly Europe where the food sucks...
