History is extremely important you keep creating your own not actual & pairing it with pics that don't align with the correct places, people, or timeliness, if you say it long enough people believe it. Makes one ask about hereditary succession in order to preserve regimes through generations that may have no more right to rule than you do. Teach your children to search for the correct history including their own. If you blame everything on Eurocentrism, & racism to back up every argument you fail to look at how economic development & political organization changed history as well.

Many people are surprised to learn that Timbuktu was once one of the world's greatest centers of learning, with thousands of handwritten manuscripts preserving knowledge in astronomy, medicine, mathematics, law, and philosophy. Africa's history is far richer than many realize.
@PlanetUncoveredOfficial
It’s fascinating that the Dogon people are said to have known about Sirius B long before Western astronomers discovered it. I’d love to know how that knowledge was passed down through generations.

I remember when they went through in 2012 and tried to burn African manuscripts from 3500 years ago. The greeks didn't start schools Africa had colleges and libraries...houses of mystery....African spoken history is more like history class and nighttime entertainment than actual history . The grios are a form of art not the only history. To this very day very few if any Europeans are able to read cunaeform. I only only know of the codebreaker Stephanie Dalley if she hasn't passed on.
@cutkitvid9548
@@cutkitvid95485 months ago
Because the barbarians from the north ... Europe.. couldn't read cuneaform a language used in Africa and Middle East and India since the beginning of time they said it was the Africans who didn't have language but it actually was the Europeans if they hadn't stolen art and smashed walls and dragged them north there would be nothing in those museums in London and Paris

This was ok but you need to do more research with the images you're showing. You had the image of a masaai man 1:21 representing someone in West Africa. Masaai are East Africans. Sucks but because of that I cant share the video. It loses credibility although the actual content is true. Next time use actual footage from Mali. Something small that would have made this documentary a masterpiece.

It is very sad how the Arabs destroyed indigenous African history to replace it with their own. They went in, and they destroyed buildings. They stole artifacts, the destroyed history of indigenous African people, and try to replace it with their own with their religion in their lives. this is a very sass situation. The Arabs have not created anything in North Africa or Africa, so the only Bronx hardship to the indigenous African people.

I had not heard the story of the manuscripts being taken out before the extremists arrived. A swedish academic had been cataloguing the colloction when Mali was attacked. The documentary told through her eyes suggested great losses occurred. It is critical that such cultural treasures are digitized. Yes, the original may be destroyed, and with it the important history of the actual books, but at least the knowledge contained in them remains for future generations.

@GuardianoftheGoldenStool
Why are there random images not representative of Timbuktu, and not even representative of West Africa. There were even ethnic groups from East Africa scattered through it. This is so disrespectful. This kind of oversimplification and overgeneralization is constantly done with the continent of Africa. You defeat the nuanced sophistication of the narrative.
