There are several major reasons behind Dhaka's poor ranking in city-based indices.

🚗 Severe traffic congestion and poor traffic management — spending long hours stuck on the road is a major daily struggle.

🚌 Chaos in public transport — issues such as buses stopping haphazardly, overcrowding, and reckless, competitive driving.

📢 Noise pollution — excessive honking and vehicle noise make daily life extremely unpleasant.

🌫️ Air pollution — pollution from vehicles, construction work, dust, and other sources is a major concern.

🏗️ Unplanned urbanization — while the population and number of buildings have increased, roads, footpaths, drainage systems, and other civic amenities have not improved at the same pace.

🌧️ Waterlogging — water accumulates rapidly in many areas during heavy rainfall.

🗑️ Waste management issues — garbage accumulation and unsanitary conditions are visible in some areas.

🚶 Footpaths and pedestrian safety — encroachment on footpaths, dilapidated walkways, and unregulated traffic make walking difficult.

🌳 Lack of open spaces and greenery — parks, playgrounds, and open areas are limited relative to the massive population.

🏥 Strain on health and civic services — the huge population places immense pressure on services such as hospitals, water supply, and sanitation.

👥 Excessive population density — a vast number of people living in a confined area strains almost every urban system.

Bottom line: Dhaka's problems go beyond just traffic congestion or pollution; the lack of alignment between urban planning and the growth of the population and city expansion has exacerbated the situation.

Notably, Dhaka has been labeled the "world's most unlivable city."

🚨 What kind of urban system is this? What kind of road management is this?

It's like a daily battle just to be out on the streets of Dhaka!

Excessive traffic jams, no discipline for buses, no control for autorickshaws—everyone is running as they please. On top of that, people's normal lives are disturbed by unnecessary horn honking and noise pollution!

On one hand, buses are stopping here and there, on the other hand, autorickshaws are suddenly turning off the road. No one is following the rules, no one is paying attention to traffic laws. And the entire burden of suffering falls on the common people.

The question is—how long will it last like this?

Ensuring discipline on the roads in a capital city like Dhaka is not a luxury, it is a citizen's right.

Need—
✅ Specific bus stops and strict controls
✅ Effective rules for auto-rickshaw movement
✅ Stop illegal parking and stopping at random
✅ Strict measures against unnecessary horns
✅ Accountability of traffic law violators
✅ Safe roads for pedestrians and passengers

It is not enough to just conduct a campaign and clear the roads for a few days. Permanent and effective road management is needed.

We do not want a Dhaka where time is wasted in traffic jams for hours every day, people are fed up with noise pollution and breaking the rules becomes the rule.

We want discipline on the roads of Dhaka.

We want the right to safe movement.
Not mismanagement—we want accountable city management. ✊

Trains are not just a means of transport—they are the daily transportation of millions of people. Yet, even today, our railway system is plagued by ticketless travel, overcrowding, traveling on the roof, and uncontrolled movement of people at stations.
Especially, traveling on the roof of a moving train is by no means normal or acceptable. It is a terrible risk, where a little carelessness can take a life.
Blaming the passenger alone will not solve the problem. There is a need for adequate tickets, effective ticket checking, station security, regular operations, adequate trains and coaches, and strict implementation of railway laws.
People also have responsibilities—to buy tickets and travel, to get on and off at designated places, and not to put their lives at unnecessary risk.
Development of the railway system does not only mean new trains or new railway lines; ensuring safe, orderly, and humane travel is real development.
A ticket may be just a piece of paper—but following the rules can save a life.

@RobertoSoloneBoccardi
@drewbinsky your country is not America, but the United States of America the continent. The USA is an American country exactly like any other. Calling America your country goes a little against your peaceful actitude. It's imperialistic and it nullifies the rest of American countries. I love your videos.

Showing Bangladesh's local life, ordinary buses, and street food is definitely not a problem. These are also part of the reality of Bangladesh. But showing only the poor or underdeveloped sides can give many foreign viewers the wrong impression that this is what the whole of Bangladesh is like.

Bangladesh also has modern cities, comfortable AC buses, great restaurants, good hotels, and resorts. It would have been nice if the video had included a quick glimpse of these sides of Bangladesh or a short disclaimer at the end. That way, people could understand that the video showed only one side of Bangladesh, not the entire country.

I am a citizen of Bangladesh, so I feel ashamed to see this situation in my country. I cannot do this at all. The most powerful country in the world, America, does drugs and addiction in its country the way it does. 😊😊green bay The city remains. Seeing the way people get drunk naked here makes me feel ashamed of myself because we are not a developed country like them, and our country is not like them. The situation in the world is like that. Every country has good and bad sides, not just presenting the bad sides, you have to present the good sides too. That's what a person who collects full documentaries is called.😊😊😊

Bengalis are the nicest people in the world. I've never visited a Bengali home without being offered a full meal, tea, snacks...if I try to pay for something, even just a snack, I have to fight my friends to stop them from paying for me. They love art and music and always clap when I sing for them Bengali songs, no matter how bad my pronunciation is. I think my wife and I will be taking a trip to Dhaka before next summer.
