You should also write what it means literally since learning the word's makes it easier to remember than "opaque" sentences.
Like
how are you = "Sango nini"
Nothing's new = "Sango te"
So what does "sango" mean? And "nini" or "te"?

Wow, this is a cool language! Looked this up because an ESL student I am working with speaks Lingala as their L1, so I am doing a little research about the language. I am a bit struck by the random similarity to Japanese, actually. It has a totally different rhythm than Japanese, but it seems to be broken up into syllables similar to how Japanese is broken up into moras. Kitano is totally a common Japanese surname btw, so I got a little kick out of that being an insult in Lingala lol. I also think it is really cool that words start with an "n" followed by consonants--I haven't heard that in many other languages I have listened to!

Swahili & Lingala are just byproducts of Colonialism. they are heavily influenced by colonisers. it shows weakness which is not something our Bantu ancestors would be happy with.
