I think my main confusion is about audience acquisition.

For example, I’m currently creating a handwriting course. I do have personal Instagram and X accounts, but I wouldn’t want to turn those accounts into channels mainly promoting handwriting, because I also post about completely different interests.

And if someone follows me because of design, mathematics, typography or something else, there’s no reason to assume they’re interested in improving their handwriting.

So if every interest or product needs its own targeted audience anyway, what exactly is the advantage of putting everything under a personal brand?

How do you reconcile being genuinely multi-interested with the fact that audiences usually follow accounts for a fairly specific kind of value?

Dan, I've been watching your videos for quite some time and it's been very inspiring. Could you make a video about the one-person business... for artists ? Because I feel the model you talk about doesn't really fit to artists. Or maybe I didn't succeed to make the right transposition. What would be the "product" (especially for musicians in a world where no one buys discs) ? What would be the "problem to solve" ? I know there are numerous videos on the subject of music/art marketing on Youtube but I would love to hear your take on it, and see if you'd be able to expand your business view for artists. I'm sure it would be at least a good topic to think about during your morning walks. Thanks

The shift from trading time for money to trading attention for value fundamentally rewires how your brain sees opportunity, which is why most people with multiple interests stay stuck in the time-for-money trap instead of building the meta-skill of packaging their knowledge. The real leverage isn't in having one interest, it's in understanding that every interest you have is actually research for the ONE system you're building that connects them all.
@yanngabioud
@@yanngabioud3 weeks ago
Late Thursday afternoon. Three notebooks open on the desk, each for a different offer idea. I spent months thinking I had to build separate boxes for every skill I wanted to use. The shift in my one-person business only happened when I stopped running parallel tracks and built one singular frame around how I solve problems. Having multiple interests is natural, but trying to market them as four distinct brands is where momentum dies. Once the core container is clear, bringing in a system to streamline the back end actually works.

I once met someone at a gold storage facility in the UK. We talked about privacy, decentralization, and off-grid movement. When I asked what influenced him most, he didn’t say a course or a mentor- just quietly said, “The Other Side of Order by Steven Humsfeld” No context. No explanation. Just a book that opened a door I didn’t know existed.
@tonyhutchison1543
a lot of people make a big mistake, i see a lot of people just 'discounting' these days - trust me, its much better to sell your product on your own ability and so build value, stand by a true price rather than joining this race to the bottom that is going on - hes doing it cheaper, i will build something similar and undercut him - instead you should build a USP or a 'unique selling principle' into everything that you sell (thats the reason why its worth what you are asking for it)

Sometimes it seems that someone is living a dream lifestyle, but what really stands out is how intentional everything feels. I met a guy in Panama three years ago who retired at 35. I asked what he invested in, thinking he’d say crypto or real estate. Instead, he just laughed and said, “Most people never learn the principles of our reality.” He handed me a copy of The Buried Reality by Kael AZ and said, “You’ll either ignore this or never forget it.” That book made me realize… cashflow isn’t just about income. It’s about position, structure, and knowing which rules apply to you- and which ones don’t.
