Real breakdown of how these brands get their bag. Aldi keeping it cheap, meal kits losing customers left and right, Liquid Death straight up selling vibes over water — WSJ ain't playing with this one. Solid watch, no cap.

Drive thru only is exclusive. Not everyone can drive. Those who are too blind or who have certain medical conditions hs r limited options now. If they ARE still able to access places they are charged double for “convenience” of not being able to get to the place.

I can't stand the up-stream order taking at Chick-fil-a. How am I supposed to order from a menu that's 30 yards away? Once was enough of that. I don't go there often enough to have their menu memorized and know what I want when I pull up onto their lot, so I don't even bother with the drive through there.

Only in incredibly dumbed down, increasingly backwards and pathetically dysfunctional American/Western societies would a beverage named Liquid Death be an appealing and successful selling product. It's no surprise rapidly declining, zero and even negligible in many places, population growth, fertility and birth rates are afflicting the West to the extent that it is. Just dumb😢

The problem with these businesses is the fact they are always trying to do the most it should simply be let’s create a great business ppl love and grow into new areas the problem is greed why are u trying to be quarterly profits just bcuz other companies are? Focus on keeping the brand alive and u will always have profit ppl just get too greedy and as a business owner I’ve learned to stay away from greedy investors bcuz all greedy investors are going to do is run a business into the ground trying to constantly maximize profits every year. Smh sad

The Pringles 'trap' is a masterclass in why 'doubling down' is often just a fancy word for ego. P&G ignored every red flag from the American market for years because they were anchored to their initial R&D spend. It’s a reminder for every CEO in 2026: The market doesn't care how much time or money you’ve already spent. If the product doesn't fit the culture, the Sunk Cost Fallacy will bleed you dry.

I think the biggest question of all is that even if people tried Mediterranean food, liked it enough to be willing to eat different entrees daily, could they afford it? And if you have a be seated, served, waited on restaurant, that also depends on tips for it's waitresses/waiters, then can a person or even a family afford that kind of eating daily? Unless their in that upper middle to lower upper class.

Aldi was started in Germany by the same family. The Aldi brothers split and formed Aldi Sud (south) and Aldi Nord (north). Aldi Nord OWNS Trader Joe’s. Aldi Sud = Aldi in the US. Somewhat similar approaches, but different.
