Marxism is the death of individualism and personal liberty for a forced state dictated collectivism. Hard pass on socialist totalitarianism
@prideandsolitude3543
Inaccurate.

Primitive accumulation is not "capitalist gets rich and worker gets paid little". Instead, it refers to the initial process of the formation of capitalism, which included the expropriation of the producing class. Basically, Marx describes how the first capitalists appeared in England, showing the readers that it was not merely some honest, hard workers who managed to accumulate a lot of capital. Rather, it involved violent and predatory means, often aided by the state: land was forcefully taken from common people, laws were manipulated so that, for example, the supply of workers increased (typically resulting in labour that resembled slavery), and so on.

The notion of capitalists trying to squeeze as much profit from workers is the central piece of class struggle. There is a producing class, and there is a class that appropriates something from the labour of said producing class. Marx's class struggle should be understood as the dialectical engine of history. Opposing forces collide, contradictions arise and society gets slightly reshaped at every moment, until a sharp qualitative change demands that many of its qualities be negated, due to the severe accumulation of contradictions.

This is, yet, a simplification of Marx. Reading his works is always a better idea.

The only thing Marx showed us was intellectuals will always be a threat to humanity because they think they know how we should live better than we do. Human nature is what it is. Capitalism is the best system invented to keep the majority of the masses from killing one another over resources. Marxism fails because the power and resource distribution is centralized and those in power become extremely corrupt. Capitalism works because it works through the choices of individuals across society so the production of resources get distributed where it’s needed. Capitalism does create inequality but it also creates wealth. Marxism just creates inequality and the loss of individualism

POLITICAL THEORY - Karl Marx
@SpeakerBuilder
@@SpeakerBuilder4 months ago
For such a brilliant thinker, Marx was surprisingly naive regarding a number of basic human characteristics. He first of all as an atheist denies or ignores the tendency towards selfishness (the believer would say sin) which disrupts any tendency of most of us to be concerned for the welfare of the whole of society. He also ignores or denies the fundamental source of motivation of all humans to better ourselves. Most of us function much better under duress than under comfort and leisure, as such impediments to comfort drive us to perform our best. The fundamental flaw of communist and socialist systems is first of all the removal of any discomfort that is our driving motivation to work and achieve. The second fundamental problem involves the fantasy world in which all countries pursue this same approach. Without a universal system, any individual or company asked to give up so much of their profits to a governing system will simply move elsewhere. But the main problem is that in every instance in which these systems have been pursued, they were in all cases forced upon the people from above, and were never willingly embraced by the collective. Finally, no true socialist or communist system has ever arisen simply because of the invariable financial and power inequity between those at the top imposing the system and those at the bottom having it imposed on them. Only in Heaven where no human sin presides does such a system of complete fairness and equity exist, and if we could create it down here, we might never strive to go there.

I recognize that communism is better than capitalism in a theoretic sense and in a human behavioral sense under the ideal conditions. But communism failed because God was not put first, God demands first place. Capitalist society, although not perfect, decided to acknowledge God in public, and the Bible specifies the blessings of acknowledging God in everything. Communism will always fail because the glory is to men and not God. We need God in our society. I’m talking about the one true God.

Another thing we don't know is who do you prioritize, the calculator builder, inventor or the person who knows how to use the calculator. So when you close down a factory, because of Money, it's an issue. Because if it's a factory making calculators, now they can no longer operate. But it's all on Money, including your inventions in use. So the ideal thing would be to make it Free. This way noone can close your factory, or have a contract stating that your factory cannot be closed.

Legal, we assume, and you indeed have 100 employees who make one penny per hour and sleep somewhere... who come to rescue? also, rumors are there was no Mercedes Benz, but someone still came up with a car design... otherwise ride a horse, which is also Possible! so u see the difference? i hate how people shoot down communism and socialism because people were corrupt and fucked over and starved their people. The system, the government, is infiltrated and hijacked and exploits the people. Capitalism does this to the absolute MAX while trying to keep some kind of balance. All our country and capitalism has done is better mask and cover up the corruption and deaths associated with scarcity, poverty, and behind our nationalism is the USA. When you can convince your people that when you kill people in the name of freedom or protection, that its benine and no one counts the death toll. We've been killing our own people and grinding up and feeding them to our economy. We're all a part of it, and we're all being exploited on some level, some more than others. Money and power buy you your time back to do with what you will, but there's peoplke in this economy who buy their time and freedom and choose to continue to buy up abundant resources and compile them, hord them for financial gain so they can continue to distance themselves from the poor and middle-class and then distance themselves from other wealthy, and rich people until no end. Then when theyre holding all the good cards they choose greed.

There will always be just a few out of the many that end up with mnost of the resources because theyre the only ones playing that game. The rest of us just want to do what we like to do everyday whatever that may be. Right? Most people just want to do the things that make them happy. Spending time with family, hobbies, art, music, building businesses etc. That all fine and is great. In capitalism, you have to profit from your art though, because we have to earn and survive and then thrive so everything is influenced by money and nothing is pure. I believe humanity would advance faster and more efficiently if everyones day wasnt always dominated by having to work 8-12 hour shifts in order to make enough to survive. We have the technology and resources in this country for everyone to have a home, some land to form, some room for chickens to collect eggs, some rain water, wells, solar, wind, we know everything we need to know in order to have a literal eutpoia but we are letting the rich elites construct our societies.

We let them build an inflated economy where the average wage is not sufficient. You should not have to work and save for 20 years to be able to afford to buy a home. Getting cancer and needing treatment shouldn't mean families go into bankruptcy and you shouldn't have to die because you cant afford treatment of any disease. We are spending insane amounts of money on things that dont matter and spending too little money on things that do matter. It would save tax dollars in the long term to have a healthier society.

Thats another thing capitalism doesn't do is make decisions in the far future now. They want to make the money now and they say fuck tomorrow. Live today fuck tomorrow. However, to make even more wealth it would be best to have a healthier society now and in the coming decades, these people will be healthier, stronger and be able to work or achieve their goals and dreams longer into the future and it would save on trillions of tax dollars. Educating your kids now and spending the real money now on education would create smarter people capable of smarter decisions, and they would get the attention, care and connection to their teachers that they need, and in the future, you would have people making better decisions, healthier lifestyle choices, healthier financial choices, and costing taxpayers less money in the long run. Cooperation and fairness across the board will create faster and longer-lasting progress. Things get better exponentially if you just do the right things and make the right choices, and they just don't do that.

They make the choices that are best for business now. This is apparent in the health, pharma and medical industries, the judicial, prison, and law enforcement industries, insurance, and everything else. What sucks is what people like George Carlin said. If the people suck the politicians will suck. It was never "communism" that was evil, bad, or that failed. It was the people. Communism, socialism, and capitalism are just ideas. Guns don't kill people, people kill people with guns because people suck and people are mean, and people can't take criticism because their egos are fragile.

Since we can't prove "Profit" as valid in pricing for example of goods and having one person make all the profit, then sure, it's unacceptable unless someone can prove it wrong. Profiting from labor. But labor is not an object and so each hired labor deserved to get paid certain amount. The extra income from production is called profit or is calculated ahead of time. That could simply mean labor is not getting paid enough or a lot of times very little while company makes lots of profit. How do you price your labor is a different issue. What issues arise when it comes to profiting from labor. Profiting from labor, according to classical economic theory and Marxism, is the generation of surplus value by paying workers less than the total value their production adds to a product or service.

The main problem with communism is there’s little to no incentive to strive for the absolute best. Turns out all communists start to horse everything for themselves. Even if they did it absolutely correct it would still fail like it always has. But because those in charge always pamper themselves and couldn’t care less about the people. They only care when people are starting to revolt. Then and only then will they come off a few extra crumbs for the peons!
