Researchers have been looking for new cancer treatments well over 100 years. Maybe they should start looking for the cure instead.

That new telescope also has plans to try and see if we have a 9th planet far out in the solar system. Saw a video on it the other night.

@6:09 - that is not where a transplanted kidney is put into a human body. It is placed on either the left or right lower quadrant of the abdomen. Why? Because there are no ribs to go through, there's a handy artery there for bloodflow, and the ureter passes close by.
(Disclosure: I've had two kidney transplants over the last 45 years.)
@entertainingdissent
oh lord, even science education sources like this belive in intellgent computers at slac...hah. Yanks, huh? If you teach that the machines are 'intelligent' you only prove you are trying to explain something you poorly understand, or perhaps want to hype and excite people about by deliberately using marketing languge. I get it, most folks in the U.S.A. value the sizzle over the steak, but people who watch this channed will want to view real lectures or borrow real books to check on the details, and, or, Science staff, you should aim to do a better job explaining then some community college teacher or indicate in your channel that this is for entertainment and monitization purposes not, um...science, you jerks.

Thanks for showing this that should be only a tip of iceberg, selected ones. There'd be more like them in each area. Humans are basically innate scientists ever since our lineage was born. Gathering information, improving technique, contemplated outcomes from primitive levels to higher, more sophisticated ones. We have a staunch tool for a better future!
