Nagelsmann sure made a lot of questionable decisions and I am sure he will face consequences for that. That team has a lot of potential but somehow he managed to make every single player worse, even though they played an amazing season in their respective clubs. And sticking to Sane was a huge, often criticised mistake and this time the critics were right. Sane actually never performed outstandingly in important tournaments.
Neuer reached his peak years ago. He still is an incredible goalkeeper but his age started to show, during this tournament especially.

I think it's time for a new Bundestrainer and he doesn't necessarily need to be German. That or we will hopefully get Jürgen Klopp.
Also, for Germany's final penalty, only Tah was willing to go up and take it. All other German players were not willing to take the kick. Tah was the only one who was willing to go into the high-pressure situation, and he had never taken a professional penalty before that moment. Germany just doesn't have the self-confidence and mentality to be champions right now.
Germanistan lost their country to Islam after Angela Merkel started flooding it with barbarians over a decade ago, their manufacturing base has been hollowed out, their military and energy security was thrown into the Rhine solely for the sexual pleasure of Belgium bureaucrats in Brussels. This was just the cherry on top.
Tah the only player on that field. Stood up on business when all the veterans choked under the pressure that he shoots to the moon with his nerves is understandable
They underestimated a strong team from the Conmebol. Everyone is saying Germany lost because they had a bad team, that's because everyone bought the idea that European teams are just better, "the world cup is just an euro with Argentina and Brasil". South American teams have a bad record on world cups, but they have good teams, they constantly play against Argentina and Brasil, and they constantly beat them, including Paraguay. Paraguay won because they have a good team, wheter europeans like it or not.
yeah germany played badly. im not sure if another trainer could have done better. the base lineup of players was nothing to be impressed by and if someone presses you to use neuer even if you had other plans this sucks.

im sure someone with a higher sayings used his power to pull in neuer.

also doesn't matter wich strategie you have, you also need a good team to make em work and this team was trained by the oldschool strategies.

so im sure if germany had a stronger lineup it somehow would have worked but it had to work with whats there or change their programm to have a way higher endurance so that they can run all time.
The team was playing like absolutely morons. They were standing across the field, they were playing with more defensive style, they had no plans and they pushed a player for sudden death who never did penalty.

We need to understand how can it be saved the management needs a cleanup
I don't like soccer at all, but my friends forced me to watch a couple of them german games and boy was I bored even by my nonexistent standards. German team just kept safe passing the ball for most of the game and then randomly that one guy just randomly shoots for the goal from half the field away (with 15 enemy players between him and the goal) and doesn't hit. Ecuador fought pretty hard tho.
A German here...here in Germany, people are glad that our team was eliminated and that they did not have to play a 14-0 game against the French. It really was a pathetic performance from our team.
"grit and desire", the bloke at the beginning hit the nail on the head. That's missing because Germans dislike their country more than ever.
The failed liberal experiment of diversity and soft kind codling management of players has turned the once strong, disciplined, mighty stern and clinical system into a catastrophic disaster.
They better had saved at least 2 goals of the 7 -1 goals vs Curaçao , to score in against Paraguay...😅😂😅😂😅😂 Allll that Drama for nothing...going home a week after Curaçao was 😂 😅😂😅
Awesome video!! Very impressed by your research
edit: honestly feel so bad for Neuer. Being called back from retirement like this, he still gave it his all but is being blamed for all of our defense's mistakes. He looked so tired and broken in his post-game interview on German tv. Baumann was obviously done dirty previously to the tournament and I would have much more preferred to see him as goalkeeper but he also lowkey dodged a bullet by not being forced to stand on the pitch with our team's poor showing 🙈
Still there are many great players in the team and I wanna believe in them. No clue if that'll be with or without Nagelsmann but either way I'll be watching
German people would be a lot easier on Nagelsman if he wasn't such a pompous asshole. He has a horrible attitude towards public opinion and touts himself as some kind of genius, despite many mistakes
two soccer giants have been eliminated fairly, but another soccer giant the iranian team, was robbed of two goals via a rigged VAR to stop them from winning this cup. iran is a solid team plus they have a burning desire to win the cup and could very well take the cup home!!! nonetheless, despite the obvious inequality the team walked out UNBEATEN...but FIFA and infantino will never be forgotten as corrupt to the core!
A 40 years old Manuel Neuer had nothing to do with the poor performance of Germany as a team especially in the center defense and center midfield. Additionally, to me it looked like Kai Havertz was sleeping the whole game against Paraguay. No runs, nothing. Static as hell. Sané doing runs that had absolutely no sense at all. The one goal, Ecuador did was because they were able to play over the left side from their viewpoint. Why? Because Leroy Sané decided, he needs to first fall back to the center and then fall even further back to the center left defense. Without any ball being in the proximity of his running line. I mean, what the fuck? How fucking inefficient. Also, again: Leroy Sané waiting several seconds because giving the ball to another player, allowing Paraguay defense to organize. Often time he needed to wait because no fucking German player offered himself. It felt like noone from the Germany team wanted to take the responsibility of doing something with the ball except for Musiala maybe. Same story with the penalty kicks: German players hesitated to be responsible for a penalty kick. I mean: Totally and clearly an attitude problem through and through. The video referee`s interception and nullification of Tah's goal was just the insult on top.
Me as a German now preparing to move to Cape Verde to regain my dignity....
It was horrible to watch, and the excuses afterwards were even worse.
Looked like a squad of 11 Boule-Players.
In my eyes this has far worse consequences... Soccer is so incredibly loved here - no other sport comes close. A good friend who is not interested at all told me, that he hopes, our team goes very far. I was surprised. He thinks that this would bring some optimism into the country. I agree with that. Sure, so many countries have it far worse! So many countries deeply love soccer. But things have been feeling like a drag and I see people yearning so much for the "good old days". In some states Elections are coming up and i believe that an invigorating, inspiring, wonderful game can influence the general sentiment. The parties standing for the 'good old days' is not the one I want to see rule and it looks bad...
Sure, soccer doesn't have the power to directly change votes on a scale that it matters. But the feeling of not all things being bad and 'it used to be better', would really help.

I feel we lost 'fairly' - it wasn't an unfair game, questionable judging or something. Yes, Germany had many more shots on the goal, but paraguay played fast, endurant and precice. don't get me started on the undeserved goal against Ecuador. I would have felt dirty if Ecuador had lost because of that.
there is a slight "mistake" in this video regarding the Baumann-Neuer situation: on May 17th it was leaked that Neuer would return to the national team. On the same day Baumann was interviewed about the situation but Nagelsmann never told Baumann anything about a Neuer comeback and always assured him he would be the number one gk, unfortunately for Nagelsmann he had a scheduled talk show appearance on the same day, which became really awkward, with Nagelsmann seeming very bratty and pissed at times, since the entire nation now knew Neuer would return without informing Baumann. Nagelsmann did not want to go public with this announcement before contacting Baumann and Neuer, who already had the image of stealing a potentially better goalkeeper the spot (Ter Stegen in 2018/2022) now had no chance of returning in good favour with the public.
as a german I have to say, that I am fine with this - we did not play a good game and this team struggled right from the get go. no expectation for this world cup.
Because our modern team is garbage. We went from being consistent legends in the football sphere, to becoming the laughing stock of modern football. And I cant even pin it on a single player, it's just the catastrophic fall of our abilities. I am so sad to see my country unable to get to even the quarter finals, when we used to win these cups. I've started to root for the other countries, because I know for a fact my own fails me every time. The comeback must be seismic.
I haven't watched a game (again, 3rd WC in a row), but I suppose out of the blue: Neuer - wrong decision. Kimmich, was he played again out of position as right back? Wrong. I suppose Harvertz being played as a striker and the whole team without a clear striker? Wrong. Why was Sane in the team at all? All seem to play a low block against bigger countries, Sane vs. low block is stupidity? Were Wirtz and Musala played on the wings? They are not wingers ... Did Nagelsmann the same again as with Bayern and bring insecure decisions against logic? He might've lost his tactical edge he had years before
They should have kept Flick. They played good football and were unlucky against a strong Japan with very bad group stage elimination rules. Getting eliminated with 4 points and a positive goal difference sucks. This year's system is better, but they should change the rules that the team with the best goal difference instead of head to head should get first place. Then there would be no meaningless games like the third German game against Ecuador.
When I saw the Africans in the shootout round I knew it was over for the Hermans🤣...remember the same thing happened to the English team in the '20 Euro loss to Italy
If you have more Africans than Germans in your Game against Paraguay then its crystal clear why the Team cannot Perform! No Germans, no German Efficiency!
Hi,german here. My team played exactly like Germany just is right now. Outdated, boring, arrogant, lacking passion and commitment, unimaginative—no one knows what the others are doing. Germany is resting on its past successes, just like my team did . Meanwhile, every other country is passing us by in sports, education, infrastructure, etc.
To be honest, after Germany played like a total bunch of "Gurkentruppe", I'm simply hoping for a European victory in the end.
There’s no point sugarcoating it. I simply expect from a squad with a market value of over 150 million to beat Paraguay. It was just really bad.
And yes, I knew they would lose, because I had already seen during the match against Ivory Coast that they weren't playing like a well-oiled team.
neuer was not the problem the problem was putting nmecha in middlefield because he loses the ball in middlefield to much kimmich is a goat in middlefield to be honest
As a german. Our team is at a point where the fear of losing is far greater than the will to win. We cant reach for the fifth star anymore. Our goal should be to simply develop a team that wins simple games. Everything else should be done after that is achieved
Greetings from Germany! That is a really well researched video! Also about Nagelsmanns strange and poorly communicated decisions in preparing for this world cup. I saw the match yesterday, went to bed and noticed today, how unexpectedly affected i am by this.
JUST ADMIT IT -
EVERYBODY needs to just study how Argentina play. European teams need to quit being snobs and just watch how Argentina get their players into positions and make great passing plays to take chances from every angle that most teams around the world do not!
As a german, id say most ppl were realistic in not seeing us to win this world cup. There is a plethora of problems we showed threw this tournament. Most of them could be fixed with a new national coach in my opinion, Nagelsmann showed us that he seems to have no Idea on how to play each game, truly showing in his starting 11s and substitutions. Also it seemd like he failed in bringing the team together to truly play as a team.

Watching the RO32 was extremly frustrating on our side, yes the ref. was questionable in not allowing the goal and being seemingly favoured to the Paraguay team in his decisions. But lets be real we shouldnt even be in a spot against paraguay, where the referee decides the outcome of the game.

In short : Our loss was mostly because of our own performance, a terrible national coach. And only secondly because the referee was favouring the other side.
Don't ever doubt Neuer even for a second. No other goalkeeper compares. Yes we are not playing well rn but all the germans want him in goal because he is the man my guy.
This game was so bad.
The goal was so bad. How is he that free? XD
We played like we are leading 2:0.
0 Hunger to risk a dribble and shoot a goal
Then penalties the 30y old cb needs to shoot his first 11m ever, because no other has the balls to step up
And we had a lot left who can shoot well…
But the reason we had to shoot, sums up the mentality we showed the whole game.

Why is harverts first and not second or third penalty stiker, to realease the pressure of shooting first, after losing champions league final in penalty's?
I swear that guy would had made it, if he shot like 2nd-4th.
We have been mediocre, at best, since the Euro Semi 2016. We deserved to go out against Paraguay! Congrats to them! We need to rebuild, but we will come back!
15:41: "Undav has played very well for Stuttgart". By statistics alone he is one of the best strikers in Europe. Omitting the fact that he is generally percieved as a very nice guy and very good teammate which (at least that is my opinion) is something you can see on the pitch with germany or with VFB. But other than that, your research is very thorough man. Keep it up!!
how the fuck did we even manage to qualify for the world cup, like seriously the DFB teams are playing like shit ever since 2016 thats 10 solid years of playing like shit. IMO we should skip the next EM and possibly also the WM and focus on building something entirely new form the ground up. this has no future with nagelsmann and the team playing like this. we have a lot of players that are good individually but they just dont play well together.
The problem with the German national team has nothing to do with sports—it has to do with mindset. For about the past ten years, patriotism, masculinity, and fighting spirit have been systematically driven out of them. It is a gradual "wokification" of the German national team.

First, the name was shortened from "German National Team" to simply "The Team" in order to make the supposedly offensive words "German" and "national" disappear. Then, in 2022, the team had to put on a woke performance and made a fool of itself in front of the entire world. This year, they even flew to the United States without a flag and dressed in gray, apparently to avoid displaying the national colors.

The TV channel ARTE even aired a documentary advising Germans not to wave their flags or wear the national team's jersey. In such a wokified society and environment, the team has been held back and has been playing with the brakes on for years. The players no longer identify with their country, and as a result they do not fight as hard for victory as players from other nations do.
Since 2018 Kimmich has been a problem as a Defender on the right side, and he used to be a relly good midfielder. Sané is just not good on the Right side. The German weaknesses are of their own making and are systemic
Germany is a victim of wokism; the best of the best of Germany are not playing in the World Cup.

Germany left behind the best players at home. Instead, they did as France styles a "diverse" national football team.

The bad ideologies, such as wokism, bring nefarious consequences.
I knew this World Cup would be a disaster when they ended their first game "only" with a 7:1. The 2014 roster would have scored 20 goals atleast. I dont have high hopes for the future either. If politics and "representation" of diversity is more important than raw Talent than this will always be the outcome.
"Lets be real about Germany elimination" Ref robbed them! And thats it. Yes they didnt create a lot of chances yes they didnt played good. But they faught and worked hard for a goal and the ref robbed them again
