this is a really awesome vidoe and I appreciate it very much that someone shows off my country in such a nice way. You definitely missed some cities though like Schwerin, Wismar, Tübingen, Würzburg, Marburg, Limburg, Aschaffenburg and most importantly Trier. The Vierzehnheiligenkirche near Bamberg is also a one of a kind. I think Trier would've been really important to show because it is one of the most historically significant cities in germany. It is home to the oldest church in germany and so many impressive ruins from the roman times are still in tact. It was once a capital of the roman empire.

Actually the destination showed as „Rhine valley“ is just the Lower Rhine. Rhine valley is a very long one. The Upper Rhine and Superior Rhine in the south though are a pretty different destination than the Lower Rhine in the north.

Lower Rhine is typical for castles and small villages and of course a (white) wine growing region (a lot more than beer actually).

The southern valleys are also a wine region, but mixed with more red wines and by far not as much famous for it. Its less known for castles as for the tradtional food like Flammkuchen, superior climate and closeness to the Black Forest, french and swiss border.

And Cologne, Stuttgart or even Frankfurt are something, I would not recommend to see at all 😅 In Germany, you should never just go from one city to the other. They‘re very different, so you will catch quite a few of shit holes and waste time. Best cities to see in my (local) opinion are Erfurt, Halle, Regensburg, Augsburg, Munich, Lübeck and Freiburg. But the juwels are often the small ones like Goslar, Quedlinburg, Bamberg, Wismar, Stralsund etc. Watch out for the ones characterized as UNESCOs - you will be suprised how little known they are by foreigners.

In general, the main problem with this video is that it shows just mainly the typical mainstream places like all the other 100,000s. Theres so much secret spots, that would be way less of what people have in their imagination about Germany.

I'm a bit confused, because it makes our country looks like we barely have nature besides a few parts. You showed so many cities, but it would've been nice to also name for example St. Peter Ording with his huge beautiful beach or the Bodensee, which is a lake that seems as big as the sea at some points. Germany has beautiful nature too.
And I'm also confused that it's so common to just change the name of places, like Nürnberg into Nuremberg and so on. You wouldn't translate your own either, would you? Why is that?

Thanks for all the wonderful details - hope a lot will see this and realize, that Germany has so much to offer! I would like to see a 2nd documentary, including Mannheim with its grid layout, the water tower, and promenade; Worms with its Nibelungen tradition, the Dom; Idar-Oberstein with its gemstone manufacturers and Speyer, as well as Trier—which is over 2,000 years old with the Porta Nigra or the Rakotz Bridge—sometimes referred to as “a portal to Elvenland.”.. etc.
And contrary to some assumptions: we have had electricity for centuries and invented the first image-transmitting telephones – long before Apple succeeded in doing so!

The "facts" and pronunciation of place nanes are often not only wrong but catastrophic.
And the attempts at poetic description are truly a test of any native English speaker.
Together with the occasional mixing of visuals not taken in the places being spoken about makes this description of my homeland sometimes bordering on the comical.

Amazing video and a beautiful selection of places!
One city that really surprised me to be missing is
Lübeck. Its historic old town (UNESCO World Heritage Site),
the iconic Holstentor, the close connection to theBaltic Sea and
beaches in Travemünde, and its world-famous marzipan make Lübeck
one of the most unique and charming cities in Germany.
Definitely worth featuring in a future part!

I want to go here so bad to see where my ancestors lived.
@altruistuscheregentonne1398
While I really enjoyed this travel guide, I feel like some of the great locations within the former GDR have been left out, despite making up almost half of the German UNESCO world heritage site. What about Hainich forerst and Wartburg, where Martin Luther translated the Bible to German for the first time? Erzgebirge and its unique art? Weimar and Thuringia in general with its rich nature but also the known composers and poets? And then there is Wismar, Waren, Rostock and Stralsund, not to forget about Potsdam and the former border "Green Band" itself.
If you ever get to go to Germany, don't forget about those cities and venues.
@christianmichael4456

The imagery is beautifull, well of course it is, it isn't produced by the channel. The AI script isn't, well of course it isn't, it is produced by the channel.

Very beautiful video, but the AI narration is so awful. The pronounciation makes a German speaker want to gag. It really detracts and takes away from the video.
