So I live in amarican my whole life but idk if it's Js cuz my house hold culture or what but I have always used a kettle to boil tea and coffee warming up water with a microwave feels like a crime
As an American, I do not have a microwave, I have never used a sink food disposal, my apartment has no elevator, I wipe up water with a dish rag, and I call it a toilet.
Itβs funny because even though I live in America, I donβt have any ceiling fans and I also have all my bathroom lights on the outside of the bathroom. On top of that during the summer, I dry my clothes on the laundry line and I also do not have a garbage disposal.
Americans have half the voltage in their outlets = half the current for ohmic devices like electric kettles = half the power = twice as long to boil water. I'm at least 50% sure that's why they don't use electric kettles.
We don't have a stupid special electric kettle. We have microwaves. Yeah, that's right.
And you might want to be careful about who you demand they remove their shoes. That can produce some smells you never thought about before.
Lights outside the bathroom are SUPER, if had Teenager Childernππππ and rule Nr.1 you don't go to toilet with Handy... otherwise you DON'T see the bathroom for hours πππ
As an american. I don't live somewhere that needs an elevator. Don't wear shoes indoors. Don't drink tea, but know that kettles take twice as long to heat in america with 110 wiring than 220. I used to use one for hot cocoa though, but microwave is faster. Do use paper towels but generally only small sheets 1 at a time. We have a garbage disposal but just throw things in the trash rather than try to flush them down the drain. Have no idea what's up with the window or kitchen door, have carpet. Have lightswitch inside bathroom.
I'd always be shitting in the dark. My siblings would go out of the way to turn the lights off every single time. Probably block the door too so I can't open it.
I'm actually curious to find out how Europeans actually managed to survive? It's truly amazing that people can be that goddamn stupid and so full of their own shit at the same time
Yeahβ¦well the United States is about the size of Europeβ¦with just as many different kinds of people and culturesβ¦itβs kinda funny how Europeans go to one state and think the entire country acts like that. No wonder you all were so confused when you came over here for the World Cup when you post stuff like this and say ALL Americans act this wayβ¦
In all fairness, the garbage disposal is stupid. Just throw waste food in the trash can.
I put in a really nice one a few years ago and never use it. What a waste of money.
I like my German house. I think itβs really nice, but it is really really weird that the switch for the light is on the outside, not inside the bathroom
