Been learning German for the better part of a decade and I'd immensely disagree about it sounding ugly, which descriptions and imitations tend to sound more Dutch (which I like, kinda, if it's not the Amsterdam dialect) or Arabic<br><br>Rinderkennzeichungs[...] was easy to read since I could just see the individual words and memorized it just to be annoying :)<br><br>And compound words (haustier = house animal = pet) additionally made vocabulary a lot easier too. <br>EDIT: WHAT, HE USED THIS EXAMPLE RIGHT AFTER I TYPED IT. german is not that aggresive. yes there are some words which acnsound like it but i can confidently say that: Deutsche ist cool und nett, auch das land ist sehr gross und aufrend aber sehr teuer, (ich war noch nie dort, aber trotzdem). I'm an American living in Germany married to a German/native German speaker, and am also learning the language myself. I had this perception when I first went on the adventure of learning the language and when my exposure to it was mainly through Hollywood. Living in Germany has totally changed my outlook on it and some people can make the language indeed sound lovely. It's also a pretty cute language with words like 'Glow Pear' for lightbulb and 'hand shoes' for gloves, so who wouldn't love it?
I'm from Middle East and I really enjoy learning German. Tolles Video!

Not sure I agree, I mean even Spanish with their hard R rolling sounds can sound aggressive, I.e if you want it to. It’s something that doesn’t sit well with me and I hear Germans do things sometimes that confuse foreigners. Well, I’ve never been to Germany but will have to wait in see because sounding aggressive and being aggressive isn’t the same and I don’t want to be around an aggressive bunch.

I think German sounds not bad at all. But the best sounding, and most characteristic thing is Bavarian German. (Even tough I don’t speak it that much myself)
