Building a luxury hotel in the middle of the ocean sounds like someone took the phrase "dream big" a little too seriously. Somehow, engineers made it look effortless. Meanwhile, I still struggle to keep a beach umbrella standing on a windy day. Which part of the construction amazed you the most?

The Building no doubt is impressive. One has to remember the foundation is on pillars. Though they look they can stand the [stress they still are vulnerable as they stand alone and do not have the earth mass grip. What are they going to do one has to wait. be it whatever it may be it is a dangerous endeavour.

Everyone connected to these insane island building projects is INSANE. Your buildings are already sinking and there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. Your desert fantasies are about to collapse, big time.

The most impressive engineering feat of the Burj Al Arab wasn't the tower—it was the artificial island. The architect insisted on keeping the island only 7.5 meters above sea level so the building would appear to float directly on water. But in open water, rare 1-in-100-year Shamal storm waves can easily exceed 8 meters. Standard boulder seawalls would have deflected the wave upward, flooding the hotel. Instead, civil engineers developed hollow, perforated precast concrete armor blocks (Shed units) that function like a giant hydrodynamic sponge—letting crashing waves enter the hollow cavities, swirl, and dissipate 90% of their hydraulic energy harmlessly inside.

The Burj Al Arab is a perfect example of architecture becoming an engineering challenge on an enormous scale. Building an artificial island, driving foundations 40 meters into the seabed, and supporting a 9,000-ton steel exoskeleton in the middle of the Arabian Gulf is already incredible. What makes it even more fascinating is how every engineering decision had to work together to turn a sketch into a 321-meter landmark.

I just saw an ai built video in the very least as the concrete poles have metal rebar on top then the drive hits it and it doesn't have it anymore. then all of them in the next scene don't have rebar but in the one before they all had rebar so this is at the very least ai built if not a total fabrication. i am not subbed here and i won't either.
