@58:47 the dude at the back either wants the duck rice very badly or he wants mike very badly. He's staring so hard at him hahaha
Always amazed how more Singaporean places are not considered beyond Michelin level. All the Western Michelin places are so disappointing or at best appropriating spices and techniques from eastern food. I think western people think just incorporating butter and its substitute is sufficient to be considered decent food techniques.
I'm trying to figure out the song at 49:24 I definitely want to save that for my playlist.

Also, It's crazy how the world shows a whole new appreciation for cooking a lot of food and going to amazing places. Love your videos man.
I'm at only 15:34 without putting anything in my mouth and just know I'm tipping the scales 5 lbs heavier. I cannot tell you how much I admire you....last time I was at the Singapore Hawker stalls was in the mid eighties.
Did you find out where Isaac got the coconut and egg tarts? Im Canadian and went to Singapore in Jan 2024 to see Coldplay and absolutely fell in love. So many cheap and good eats
Hey Mike how are you and that cosco bussines store you went to where is it and can you get stuff delivered to anther state please let me no it's George your biggest fan and please can you teach me how to use chop stick I would like to learn
This is too much work for something that is not that great in terms of flavor. I would prefer any other breakfast easier to make and equal or better in the macro and micro areas.
I hope he compliments some of these amazing chefs in the small shops. That stewed beef towards 1:40:00 looked so dang good.
You got eating right by looking for the reasonably-priced food; it is Singaporean style! 🎉

Nobody staying here and in their right minds eat at the stalls that target tourists everyday. 😂
Your food clips are a bit atas (more expensive food). I think it appeal to the modern generation. Unfortunately there is no location address. Wonder why.
Aussie here - found this video - and many thanks, as I'll be in Singapore pre / post a cruise in late Nov 2024 - will be definitely hunting out some of these hawker centres (now that I know where some of these are - didn't have anything like this video on previous trips there). Def will be looking for the egg / coconut tarts :)
I’m having a fever and being so depressed and homesick rn 😭 you’re so accurate in describing all of these dishes, makes me wanna drop everything and fly back
I absolutely love all your videos and I have followed and watched so many of them but I do have to say the background music halfway through most of the videos lately I fight to keep my eyes open to watch the video and then I have to just pause it I'm going to sleep for like 2 hours your videos are great but the background music is killing me but it just makes me need to fall asleep
Please improve on your "mochi" literacy, don't call everything that. The things in the peanut soup are called dumplings, and are clearly in the "dango" category if you insist on defining it in Japanese terms.
Erm the big rice spatula is for scooping portion of rice into smaller bowl or plate, not meant for eating. The food regulations in Singapore is rather strict so hawkers are usually particular about food hygiene. 😊 Some hawkers might tell you off if you are seen doing so. 😅
Even anyone travelling to Singapore & goes to hawker stalls for food, appreciate it if you let the hawker know when the food is great. It would make their day great! It is not easy being a hawker, waking up early for the food prep, hours of selling facing the high heat, cleaning up the stall before going hm... some hard work surely 🫡
