As a tourist, I found the overall cost of Singapore quite high, especially for food, accommodation, museums, and other attractions. To put it into perspective, I spent around $1,500 USD on a 15-day trip to Bangkok, while I spent roughly the same amount in just 4 days in Singapore.

P.S. To be honest, I really enjoyed my time in Thailand. Singapore, on the other hand, was a completely different experience - it made me seriously question whether I even want to return.

Very well presented video. Lots of good information. However many developed countries are moving towards being "surveillance states". It's a nudge process. "It's for your safety" they say. Before you know it all your rights will be stripped from you. Singapore had one of the harshest lock downs during covid. Freedom of movement, freedom of speech, and freedom to choose or decline a medical procedure was denied. Governments can not be trusted with our freedoms. Singaporeans will pay heavily for that government "safety" in years to come.

More than 30 years here and I never heard of someone hurt or worse killing someone because they dont have the same religion... the world has so much to learn from this beautiful country!
Oh and btw, 34 years living here and not one fine, one arrestation for whatever reason, I know the Police is watching but I also know it's to protect us... we never had violent situation like in Europe or the US between Police and citizens and it's very precious...

Singaporean here. I gotta be honest, other than the budget food, and some amazing places and scenery that you don't have to blow your bucks on. Accommodation as a tourist would likely be where you spend your money on mostly, even a budget hotel would cost you about USD80 a night, and I'm talking about bare bones a room with a bathroom with absolutely nothing else. Rooms at Marina Bay Sands? 10 years ago it was SGD500+ a night, today? I can't even imagine...
However, you can be well assured we are an extremely extremely safe country, you can expect nobody to steal or pick your pockets or rob you, but of course, stay vigilant, like our police constantly reminds us: "Low Crime doesn't mean No Crime!".
Otherwise, enjoy your stay as much as possible!
Don't be shy to reach out to a local to ask for directions to the best foods or the more less-touristy places!
It's certainly not a boring place, unless you just go about the tourist attractions, I've been living here for nearly four decades, there are still some foods right here that I have never tried!
Please however, be respectful to us though, as much as we appreciate and respect your presence in our home country, the least we would expect is for you to respect our ways of a peaceful life. 😊
Cheers!
Thank you Kojo for showing off my home country! ❤

Singapore is a city-state but has something for everyone.Who doesn't appreciate cleanliness, reliable, modern and affordable public transport. It has a wide variety of options for every pocket and in real terms not that expensive considering the country's wealth. Switzerland it is not. It even has reserved areas of the island for gardens and nature trails, which considering it's size, is highly commendable.
