I'm a Singaporean. I would highly recommend Peranakan Museum and Asian Civilisation Museum too if you like culture and religion. National Gallery is more focused on fine arts. Satay Club is nice for the ambience but food is expensive. Tourists should still go and also include Newton and Maxwell hawker centre offer cheaper and more authentic flavours. For Catholics, do have a stroll around Queen Street to see the many churches and history of early Catholicism in Singapore.

I been to Singapore back when the dictator LEE ran the country. There were no internet back then, email just starting propogate. So any news media is strictly control by LEE; If you rich enough you can bribed LEE to get sattelite disc and pay a $50K fine to ignore the military service. Shopping is the only thing that is great, also the location to get flight out for short weekend nearby countries with nice beaches.

Singapore here, moved out of Singapore and I'd have to say - singapore is BORING.
Apart from family and friends, I'd never consider Singapore as a travel destination.
The Price to experience ratio doesn't cut it for me.
& everything is synthetically hyped.
I love the food of course, since I grew up eating it. But, lets not forget that these flavor profile came from necessity during a time when Singapore was really poor.

I'd say this.
Great for a 1 night layover for families
Ok for a 2 night layover for Singles
Poor for people seeking nature and culture

Overall : 5 out of 10

Great job buddy! Planning a trip to Singapore in 2025. Probably flying from London on the A380 again. Any options British Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways or direct flight with Singapore Airlines or Qantas? What do you recommend? Maybe something else? P.S. The only ones we haven't flown yet are Etihad and Qantas.

You forgot the night safari. If you're going to spend one of your two nights looking at the supertrees, spend the second night at the zoo on the night safari, seeing wild animals in their natural habitat. Packages are available with the sightseeing tours to minimise the cost of getting there and back from the main tourist area on the south of the island. Was lucky to experience this (and visit the Jewel at Changi before it was fully open) in May 2019 and wish I could afford to go back and do it again, as well as see the zoo in the daytime

This video has turned me off of Singapore. It's expensive. And, after I've seen the Garden Light Show and eaten dinner atop the iconic hotel, what's left? Walk around the city and look at buildings, walk through a mall and buy stuff.

Skip Chinatown altogether! It is quite touristy, and NOT the place to understand or eat Singaporean Chinese food! Singaporean Chinese (majority enthic group )is everywhere, you can find everywhere, get the authentic local Chinese food , which is very different from other chinatowns from other parts of the world! Go outside of these tourists route and find real local food! And much much cheaper!!!!

Am I just the one who notice that in Singapore is really a good one to go to even you just have a little budget as there are still free tourist spot and also small administration free that they do offer? I do really dream to go to Singapore soon as I do really love to experience their cuisine and also witness the beauty of their architecture. I also notice that they are well developed when it comes to the technologies and science which is a good one for like me who is still a student.
