My goodness, I never noticed a thing! On our first day we visited the legendary Raffles Hotel from the 19th century, the very difinition of British Colonial. Then St. Andrew's Anglican Chuch, built in 1827. On to the Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple, built in 1827. After that, I now realise, everything was 'reclaimed (manufactured)' land! The whole business district of sky scrapers, the forests of orderly apartment blocks, the airport, the trains, Marina Bay, the hotel with the stranded ship, the Lotus - all manufactured. My my, I didn't notice a thing. Ironic that the products of the refinery will indirectly threaten the country through fossil fuel burning -> greenhouse gases -> further warming of earth -> further rising of sea level.

It’s amazing to see how Singapore transformed limited land into a modern global city.

How this tiny nation literally built its own land is one of the greatest engineering marvels. 🏗🌍

Don't get caught with a joint or any drugs - it is the death penalty (seriously).

After PSA Tuas Mega Port and Changi Terminal 5. Next will be the East Coast Long Island and the Greater Southern Waterfront, cum perhaps, another half new Sentosa 😁 Ask the US Jacob, UK Arup and a few more Japanese Construction Compaines, they will tell you a little more.

Singapore looked at the map and basically said, "You know what? Let's make a little more." That's the kind of confidence I wish I had every Monday morning. This documentary shows that vision can literally reshape a coastline. Which engineering achievement impressed you the most?

The most lame video I ever seen most of the world is in poverty and the only thing this talked about was worthless technology. Robot is junk takes food out of people's mouth.

The only country cares about global warming and work out something to fight with it.

ohh wow, every part of Singapore seems carefully designed.
@EpicAdventureWorld
What do you guys think is more impressive: Singapore’s engineering or its planning?
@frederickastarr9771
Thank you, Andrew, great photography indeed. Very informative 👍🥰
