Go live with OBS
Live streaming with encoding software
You can broadcast to Vidnexa from OBS or any encoder that supports RTMP. Your broadcast is converted for browser playback automatically, and viewers watch it right on the site.
1. Get your stream key
Open the Go Live page and find the RTMP server panel. It shows your server URL and your personal stream key — copy the key exactly as shown. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it can stream as you. If it ever leaks, click Regenerate stream key on the same page and the old key stops working.2. Configure your encoder
- Service: Custom
- Server:
rtmp://vidnexa.com:1935/live - Stream key: paste your key from step 1
3. Start streaming
Click Start Streaming in your encoder, then allow up to ~30 seconds for the broadcast to warm up. While you are live:- A preview appears on the Go Live page.
- Your stream shows in the LIVE now rail on the homepage.
- Viewers watch on your live page (
watch-live.php?u=<your username>), which plays right in the browser.
4. Stop the broadcast
Click Stop Streaming in your encoder. Your live page and the homepage rail stop showing the stream shortly after.Honest limits
- Finished broadcasts are not saved — there is no recording to watch later.
- Live chat is not yet available on encoder broadcasts.
Tip: Use a wired connection while streaming for the most stable broadcast.
