* Alleged cartel member, Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala who is a central figure in infiltration allegations that gave birth to the Madlanga Commission is set to take the stand before the probe today. While the probe maintains that Matlala will appear today, the Commission's spokesperson Jeremy could not be drawn on reports that Matlala's lawyers could seek a postponement.

* The first day of proceedings at the Western Cape High court will get under way today for President Cyril Ramaphosa's urgent bid to halt Parliament's Section 89 impeachment proceedings.
