Madlanga Commission | Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala returns

The controversial multi-million-rand SAPS Medicare24 tender has featured prominently in the testimony of alleged crime kingpin Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala.

Yesterday, the Madlanga Commission heard that businessman Steve Motsumi advanced a five-million Rand loan to Medicare24 Tshwane District, which was paid in two separate transactions.

The Commission also heard that Matlala attempted to secure a further 20 million Rand from Motsumi to support the company's operations.
