Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye faces charges of kidnapping, defeating the ends of justice

Rapper and TV presenter Molemo "JubJub" Maarohanye will appear before the Germiston Magistrate's Court today.

He was arrested on June 14 2026, and police initially mentioned kidnapping charges, together with the unlawful discharge of a firearm.

But the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) later stated he faces one count of pointing 'something likely to lead a person to believe it is a firearm', and was released on R5000 bail.
