Only three of the 16 bodies of Utumishi fire tragedy physically identified

Families of the 16 students who perished in the tragic fire at Utumishi Girls Secondary School were overcome with grief as the painful process of identifying the victims began at the Naivasha Sub-County Hospital Mortuary. Only three of the sixteen bodies were positively identified, as authorities say the remaining bodies were severely burnt and mutilated, making visual identification nearly impossible.
