2 boys issued warning for trespassing into MRT train cabin

Two boys, aged 11 and 12, have been issued conditional warnings after a video circulating online showed them trespassing into the rear driver's cabin of a moving MRT train. The clip showed them forcing open the partition door before sounding the train’s horn.

SMRT Trains president Lam Sheau Kai told CNA that the boys’ actions triggered an onboard alarm, prompting the train captain in the front driver's cabin to alert SMRT's Operations Control Centre. The boys alighted at the next station, where staff were alerted to investigate the matter.

Police told CNA that a report was lodged on Feb 21 and that the boys were issued conditional warnings for offences under the Rapid Transit System Regulations. #singapore #sgnews
