Trump to Carney: 'You got to stop fires from coming in'

U.S. President Donald Trump says he told Prime Minister Mark Carney that Canada needs to do more to stop wildfires whose smoke has drifted into the United States and affected air quality in multiple cities.

Last week, Trump also threatened to top up the import tariffs he's already levied on Canadian goods in response to the smoke that has drifted south of the border.

Nearly 200 wildfires are burning across Ontario, most in the northwestern part of the province.
