Japan police bodycam captures devastation inside Aeon mall after post-quake explosion

Japan's National Police Agency released bodycam footage on Wednesday (Jul 29) showing the extensive destruction inside Aeon Mall in Kashima, Kumamoto prefecture, a day after a post-quake explosion gutted the building.

The video showed collapsed ceilings and exposed steel beams hanging over the mall's ravaged interior, with damaged shops lining the corridors.

Eight people were pulled from the rubble of the partially collapsed shopping mall that was torn apart by an apparent explosion about an hour after the 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck on Jul 28. Of them, three have died. #japan #japannews
