Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, co-accused attempted murder trial continues

The attempted murder trial against Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and four others continues at the High Court in Johannesburg.

The defence has argued that the state's first witness could have been the person who shot businessman Joe Sibanyoni.

Sibanyoni was shot and wounded by unknown hitmen in 2022 at the Centurion Golf Estate.

Matlala, his wife Tsakani Matlala, Tiego Mabusela, Musa Kekana and Nthabiseng Nzama are on trial for the attempted murder and conspiracy to kill Sibanyoni, music producer Seunkie Mokubung and socialite Tebogo Thobejane.
