New Zealand has long been an important destination for Indian students. We invite New Zealand universities to establish campuses in India. This year, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of sporting ties between our two countries. A century ago, the Indian team led by Major Dhyan Chand created history during its tour of New Zealand, and that legacy continues to inspire our sporting partnership. To mark this milestone, both countries are organising a series of sporting events. We have also adopted a Joint Action Plan on Sports to expand cooperation beyond cricket into other disciplines. A promising beginning has already been made with the recent coaching programme between New Zealand Rugby and Rugby India in Bhubaneswar: PM Narendra Modi
