Young Australians have shifted their smoking habits, halving their vaping rates, but are the highest users of other nicotine products.

Australia's daily smoking rates dropped to a historic low of 5.8% but there has been an increase in the number that use multiple forms of nicotine.

Australians will not be able to purchase nicotine pouches, even with a doctor's prescription, from July 24.
