Madlanga Commission | IDAC Head skips Commission on medical grounds

The highly-anticipated testimony of IDAC Head, Advocate Andrea Johnson before the Madlanga Commission has been briefly halted. This after Johnson was rushed to hospital this morning on the way to the venue.
Johnson was set to testify, on among other things on allegations of interference and deafeating the ends of justice that implicate her.


The Madlanga Commission is set to resume its public hearings, with the head of the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption advocate Andrea Johnson expected on the stand. This comes as the probe has ushered in evidence relating to allegations of misconduct in the NPA's IDAC, which implicates Johnson and a senior investigator at the unit, Suneel Bellochun. This after Witness N alleged that Bellochun was extorting Pakistani shop owners for alleged protection fees.
