Iran accuses US of violating ceasefire

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei condemned weekend US strikes on Iranian targets as "misconduct and bad faith," asserting they violated the April ceasefire.

Baghaei stated on Monday that Iran is entitled to take defensive measures.

The US Central Command claimed the strikes on the Gulf coast followed Iran's shootdown of a US MQ-1 drone over international waters.

In response, Iran's Revolutionary Guards targeted a US base on Monday.
This escalation follows similar exchanges, as negotiations to end the three-month war continue.
