Gerda Steyn wins 2026 Women's Comrades Marathon

Comrades Marathon women's winner Gerda Steyn says sticking to her race plan paid off. Steyn affectionately known as the "Smiling Assassin" made history by breaking the women's record crossing the finish line in an impressive 5 hours 44 minutes 53 seconds. After crossing the finish line she described the race as one of her most comfortable performances yet.
