Politics I Wetang'ula urges politicians to avoid tribal politics

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula has urged Kenyan leaders to reject tribal politics and embrace national unity, warning that divisive rhetoric risks dragging the country back into ethnic divisions. Speaking in Kilgoris, Narok County, Wetang'ula said political competition should never breed hatred, violence or tribal animosity. Meanwhile Interior and National Administration CS Kipchumba Murkomen announced that the government would not relent on cracking down on goons disrupting political meetings and have arrested close to close to 100 people in connection with separate attacks in the country.
