Gauteng schools owe almost R600 million in unpaid utility bills

Gauteng MEC for Education,Sports, Arts and Culture and Recreation, Lebohang Maile briefed the media today on efforts towards the provision of water and electricity at provincial schools.

He outlined increasing financial and infrastructure pressures facing Gauteng's education system including rapid immigration, overcrowding and ageing infrastructure.
