Senegal’s President Faye sacks PM Sonko as deepening rift erupts

Supporters of Senegal’s ousted prime minister have rallied outside his home in Dakar. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye dismissed Ousmane Sonko and dissolved the government, as tensions between the former allies came to a head on Friday.
