Mental health challenges rise across SA, HQA Report finds

Mental health has come into sharper focus as the incidence of mental health challenges has steadily risen over time.

This was one of the findings that came out of the latest Health Quality Assessment report reflecting on 2025/2026.

The HQA, established in 2000, measures and reports on healthcare quality across the sector in the country.
