Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala reaches plea and sentence agreement with NPA

Tenderpreneur Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala is appearin before the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, after the State separated his Medicare24 case from that of his co-accused.

The matter centres on the alleged irregular awarding of a R228-million South African Police Service contract to Medicare24, a company owned by Matlala.

The case has also drawn in senior SAPS officials, including suspended National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola.
