Education Minister Desmond Lee says holistic development of Singapore's children is not just – quote: a "nice-to-have, but absolutely essential". He says building their character and 21st-century competencies should not come only after academic success. Mr Lee said this after an engagement session which included Singaporeans invited to help shape education policies.
