Phala Phala Trial | Imanuwela David accounts for financial windfall

The trial of three people accused of stealing 580 000 US dollars at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm has been adjourned till Friday next week by the Modimolle regional court in Limpopo. The accused broke into the farm and stole foreign currency hidden inside a sofa in Bela Bela in February 2020. The court heard that the finances of accused number one, Imanuwela David, grew significantly between 2020 and 2022, compared to the period between 2015 and 2019 when he was working as a bodyguard. David testified that his income was generated through an import and export businesses.
