KEBS calls for harmonised standards to boost intra-African trade

KEBS MD Esther Ngari: A single certification for businesses across Africa means harmonising standards and making them work for the continent. Intra-African trade stands at about 16%, compared to more than 50% in other regional economic communities. Harmonised standards will enable traders to operate more efficiently and provide a product passport that facilitates the movement of goods across borders at lower cost.
