Communist Party of China looks to the future as it marks 105th anniversary

The Communist Party of China marks the 105th anniversary of its founding tomorrow. President Xi Jinping is set to speak at a gathering in Beijing, where will also hand out the July 1 medal — the party's highest honour. Five years after celebrating its centenary, analysts say the CCP is entering a different phase, with the anniversary expected to reinforce the message that the party remains central to China's future. The anniversary comes a year before the next party congress, where a new leadership lineup will be appointed for a five-year term. Rebecca Metteo reports from Beijing.
