In Gauteng, where the IEC is holding its final voter registration weekend ahead of the Local Government Elections scheduled for 4 November 2026, residents in Delport in Ekurhuleni have voiced their anger over water shortages.

Some say they've registered to vote and are waiting for the next local elections to elect new leaders.
