Kellie Hunter opened Same But Different Cafe in the Adelaide Hills in 2023 and has allowed dogs inside since then.

The Mount Barker District Council says only accredited assistance animals are permitted inside dining and drinking areas.

Ms Hunter has started a petition calling on the council to change its mind.
