Healthcare technology: Smartwatches identify changes in patients' vitals up to 2 hours earlier

Smartwatches could soon help nurses monitor patients more efficiently at the National University Hospital. A pilot in June found the devices detected changes in patients' vital signs up to two hours earlier than routine manual checks. They also halved the time nurses spent on vital sign checks, while patients reported fewer sleep disruptions. Alxis Thng reports.
