Western Cape | MKP questions effectiveness of army deployment

Umkhonto Wesizwe Party (MKP) has expressed concerns over the recent mass killings in the Western Cape, despite the deployment of the South African National Defence Force to assist police.

The party wrote a Parliamentary question to the Acting Police Minister, Professor Firoz Cachalia asking about the reasons for the continuous brutal killings on the Cape Flats despite the deployment of soldiers.

Recently, eleven people were killed in mass shootings in areas such as Khayamandi, Gugulethu and Manenberg.
